Centrally located in the Western Sichuan Plain, Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is renowned for its fertile land and agricultural wealth which have earned the city the nickname "Storehouse of Heaven". Upon arrival we shall visit Ancestral Temple of Wuhou, the temple for Zhuge Liang, a military genius in Three Kingdoms. Enjoy the famous Medicinal Food for dinner tonight.

Fly to the 3rd highest altitude airport in the world - Jiuhuang Airport in Jiuzhaigou. we transfer to Huanglong, the world natural heritage site, famed for its peculiar karsts landscape and multihued ponds that are set off picturesquely by snow-capped mountains, vertical ravines, and vast forests. Enjoy our dinner at the hotel.

Jiuzhaigou, located in Sichuan Province, is an integration of multi-layer waterfalls, green lakes, snow mountains and forests with Tibetan culture and customs. It was listed in the World Natural Heritage in 1992. The clear and colorful water, multi-shaped mountains, the green and golden trees constitute the unique beauty of it.

| → Jiuzhaigou - Dujiang Yan Dam - Chengdu |
Leaving the marvelous Jiuzhaigou in the morning, and proceed to Dujiang Yan Dam - during the Warring States Period in 256 BC, the governor of the Shu Prefecture Li Bing led the people to build the large water conservancy works to control flooding on the Chengdu plains. Today, 2,250 years later, the work still plays a significant role in agriculture on the Chengdu plains.

| → Chengdu - Mt. Leshan - Mt. E'Mei |
In the morning we proceed to Leshan, where the Leshan giant Buddha is located. It is carved out of a solid rock on the cliff of Qixia Peak of Mt. Linyuan, looking down on the junction of three rivers. Continue your journey to Mt. E'mei by bus. In ancient times Mt. E'mei has been described as "Beauty Under Heaven". Temples were built as early as the Eastern Han Dynasty and Buddhism was introduced to the mountain during the Jin Dynasty. In the Ming, Qing Dynasties there were more than 150 temples.

Visit the Mt. E'mei scenic area. There are 2300 kinds of animals and 3200 kinds of plants in the mountain. The main tourist attractions are Golden Peak, Fuhu Temple and Baoguo Temple.

You may go for your own leisure activities in the morning, and then we proceed to Zhangjiajie by air in the afternoon.

Day11 |
Lying on the northwest of Hunan, Zhangjiajie is recognized as "a rare charming belle in the boudoir" by the famous Chinese painter Wu Guanzhong. Zhangjiajie is the first National Forest Park in China featured by its unique hills, queer ridges and peaks, tranquil valleys, thrilling streams and abundant plant and animal resources. Today we are going to Huangshi (Yellow Stone) Village. It is the most important sightseeing spot in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. We shall visit the Baofeng Lake. It is a masterpiece made by the power of nature and human, which consists of Baofeng Lake, Baofeng Waterfall, One Line Gorge and Hawk Nest Village. With the development of tourism in Zhangjiajie, Baofeng Lake became famous for its beautiful scenery in the 1990s.

A whole day tour to Mt. Tianzi. It has been given a sobriquet "King of Hoodoos", which is characterisitic of the area to have high and dense hoodoos. We also visit the Huanglong Monastery, built in the Ming Dynasty. The temple is surrounded by heavy forests and hundreds of small lakes. It surely is a nice place for tourists. We shall fly to Guangzhou at night.

After breakfast a city tour feauring the 72 Martyrs Mausoleum at Huanghuagang, Dr. Sun Yet-Sen's Memorial Hall, and the Yue Xiu Park. Leave Guangzhou in the late afternoon for Home and ending the exciting China Tour.
